My name is Joseph LeBlanc, and I am the owner of PieRat (a play on the word pirate) Defense. I am an Army MP Veteran, who has spent most of his adult life around firearms. I decided that I wanted to teach others how to use firearms after watching the world around us become more and more chaotic. Between the media and politicians pushing narratives filled with firearm inaccuracies, seeing friends, family, and people in my community come under threat of violence and harm, and just a general belief that owning a firearm is not enough, that we should train to better use and be safe with our firearms. It is better to have and not need a firearm than to need and not have a firearm. I am currently a certified USCCA Instructor, and teach a few courses. I am currently going through the process to also become a Texas DPS certified LTC instructor and hope to be able to offer that course in the future as well. I will teach anyone who is willing to learn, and gladly welcome people from all walks of life.
